After 58 years of life my father shed the mortal coils that held him so dear to this world, today is the very first anniversary of his death. I do not shed tears for his passing but I rejoice in knowing a truly wonderful person.

I always look back at him as a warm gentle giant of a man, he was stern with a sense of code and he had a rugged sense of silliness and sometimes passionate in what he believed.

He brought us three girls up to be as silly as he is... I truly love you dad

Great post, and thanks for sharing. If only we can all have relationships so great that you can look back and not cry. That's the sign of a great relationship, IMO. To know that you were always there for them, they were always there for you, and there is nothing you would have changed.
