heres my analysis of that game.

the bengals d was just not able to stop the run after losing burfict. the pass rush wasnt there, although it usually is. the bengals secondary looked solid. ridley went off with burfict out and i believe vereen had a good game as well. tom what ok i guess he ran a lot which is odd. the ol looked better but its still in question. keep in mind every team in the afc east had a good pass rush and those matchups against the pats are going to be important.

yeah the jets pass rush today was awesome. it help them to a 31-0 loss. although their win loos record amazes me due to the fact NYJ have the most sacks for any team this season. Just everything else sucks about them.

MIA cannot win 2 in a row. Inconsistency will allow NE wins of them.

I think BUF probably are the only team to be close to toppling them. But doubtful with their inconsistency also.

personal afc east breakdown

pats- nothing seems to look good sometimes and sometimes everything seems to look good. a decent pass rush can hurt them bad. the o line is horrible and the receivers really arent much better. they will get hit hard when gronk breaks his back in week 11.

dolphins- the team has so much talent but the coaches seem to be trying to lose. an example of the coaches destroying the team is not consistently using the 5-2 defensive formation that decimated the patriots and they havent used it since week 1. the offensive coordinator seems pretty good though.

bills- that offense tho. the defense is solid, the passrush is solid, the lbs are pretty good, the secondary is also pretty good. and then the offense. marrone(is that how its spelled?) is sitting HIS first round pick qb for a longtime journeyman backup, thats a statement. they traded stevie johnson for some odd reason although i think the combo of him and watkins would be really good.

jets- the offense is the usual jets offense. they have 1 good rb(ivory) and the rest of the offense is just kinda there. on the defensive side the playcalling says it all. show me a play where they dont rush more than 6. rex knows theyre fucked and how often he blitzes shows it.

Flames... Nothing against the Dolphins here. But until we all see it, we can't believe they will win the division, or even make the playoffs for that matter. They are wildly inconsistent, and haven't got the body of work the past few seasons to sway anyone's opinions. I'm sorry but in this case, I think you are just a fan hanging on to hope.

Could they win the division? Yes of course, at this point, anyone could. Would I (Or any sane person for that matter) bet against the Pats after over a decade of dominance? No. So I get where your coming from, from a fan point of view. But honestly step back for a second and look at the division and what history tells us. Until it's week 10+, unless the Pats are down 3+ games in the standings, I can't see not picking them to win it. I feel for the Dolphins, I do. But until they back up the talk, they are not relevant

Damn. And I really hoped this NE era was over.

Set Tom Brady free. Let him work the runway. He's made for it.

I'm a Pats fan. I've been hearing this kind of crap every time the Pats have a bad game for over a decade. People envy success, so I understand.

Believe it or not, I didn't like Brady when he took over for Bledsoe because Drew was my favorite player. It took a while for me to get used to the idea that Bledsoe was replaced because Drew reinvented New England football. People forget when the Patriots were truly one of the worst franchises in the NFL. I am extremely grateful for what my favorite team has achieved and I savor every victory like it could be the last one.
