I registered to DR and it's really messy and untidy so I'd quit before it started

I didn't pay in deeproute so if my draft sucks I'm just going to quit despite getting second in my league last year. I just think it gives you in game advantages and the community stinks.

I play deeproute, and I will hopefully be able to buy a couple of the add ons pretty soon. Once I do that it'll probably be an even better game.

I like it, it's completely different from GI. Nothing I hate more than playing 2 games that are alike.

Well Dr Was ok i always got in the Conference Title Game but either a loss due to a million injuries in one game or a "Bot" that had super players if all 95 or better

LOL, well DR definitely isn't for everybody! I tell everyone to give it two seasons of play (about 2 months) before they make any judgments.

I'm glad you guys at least gave the game a chance. It really has come along quite a bit lately. Mike the owner just added trading (including draft picks) and will soon be giving incentive to players that keep up threads about their teams in league forums. The incentive is just enough to be able to activate draft settings so the imbalance will be canceled out.

The big change coming is the addition of a new graphical viewer which will actually let you see every player moving on every play. It is going to cost a bit but he doesn't mind investing since its the best out there in terms of accuracy. Also incoming is the ability to have live drafts which will go far and beyond any other football simulator out there. All these changes will have come in a month made by one programmer. He's really dedicated to the game.

In other news, i just found out that a guy I play with coach's in real life. He designed a new team offense last year on deeproute with advice from some of us. He won the state championship running that offense this year! Go figure!

And this year we may be trying to use the game engine to predict the scores etc. of NFL games in real life. Mike's hoping to eventually rent out the engine to ESPN, EA Sports, CBS, NBC, etc. Right now, we believe deeproute to be far more accurate than Madden and thus we think it may have a chance to top it for best NFL simulator.

Anyway, I've almost completely converted to the game. I stopped playing Fantasy football this year because of it and I LOVED FF. I now manage 4 teams and have managed 5. I've won 5 Super Bowls between them. I only recently jumped into the ultra competitive league 1 and between the players in that league and the players in league 10, I'd like to think that we have the most football knowledge on the internet.

We've unfortunately come to expect more from simulators which is why half the players now addicted to DR have quit all other football sims from GLB to GI. This is the reason I complain so much. But I'm at least trying to stick with GI. I figure having one DR guy over here can at least give the game some perspective. It's nice to know what has and has not worked in other games. I've now played around 6 football sims, only 3 of which I'm still playing. I like to think that I learned a thing or two about how these games should be built.

As for the community, we're doing pretty well. The chat is full for about 14 hours a day. Every forum question gets answered. Every bug has been dealt with. Also, traffic to the site doubled last month! We also have a more dedicated community with 25% of the site visitors being listed as "obsessed" on site trackers while only about 1-2% are in that category on GLB and GI.
