Ha! Just gone onto the league and I'm in the same division as Phiba and whoever is in charge of the Frankford Yellow Jackets

That would be me.

However, the server they are running it on has some serious issues because the lag to move around the site is awful no matter which way I try to connect. Just keep spinning and not going anywhere.

Not a good first impression.....

Agreed, very much a "we'll see".

Agreed. Not overly impressed at the moment.

Also just a heads up, if you entered your real first name/last name when signing up it displays your full name in the rankings page rather than your user name

Admins responded on the Bleacherzone community forums last night. Looks like they are actively working on some of the bugs.

Guys, remember it is Beta Testing. This is where bugs are identified and reported to the admins. It is where ideas are provided and possibly incorporated. This isn't the finished product. If it was it would be the V1 lol.

With the ability to set lineups by down and change formations, etc. I think it has a lot of potential. But it requires input from people like you to point it in the right direction.

I signed on but i don't see any possible way this thing is going to be open by August. There are so many issues. I am guessing they took on way more then they can handle with the football. I would be a lot more interested once they get hockey running.

It's not "pay 2 win" at all. I have seen a few people make those comments but they misunderstand the concept. The game is completely free to play. But, you can buy extra training if you want, however that only makes your team train/mature a little faster. You can perfectly play for free as long as you want. Unlike Grid-Iron where you pay like $100 for almost nothing worth any actual value (worthless supporter account), in BZ money actually helps your franchise buy scouting reports on other teams (like real scouting reports with player tendencies, play calling, etc), bookmarking opponent players/free agents, extra training, etc.

Those who don't like the concept, I urge to comment in the BZ forums on it. I imagine if enough people push back, then perhaps they will adjust it.

But maybe G-I has been neglected for so long because it is....well....free (you get what you pay for). Just a thought.... I think it's refreshing to pay ONLY what I want, instead of buying some crazy supporter package that really doesn't help my team.

My 2 cents.

And for those commenting about the bugs...It's Beta testing, this where you work the bugs out.

do you have a vested interest in this game? you seem very adamant that it's going to be amazing and that we should all be nice about it, but currently it isn't even beta worthy. literally nothing works properly, when i logged on the games didn't even take place and there were 2 different league tables depending on where you clicked, as well as numerous other issues.

also, regarding the pay 2 win comments, improving your ability to win or your chances of winning due to paying more real money, even if indirectly by training or more scout reports, you are paying to win. if you weren't then paying the money would give no effort towards your team's attempts at outplaying the other team. doesn't matter how you spin it, that's what is happening and I don't think any number of comments will stop them doing it as it's likely to be their biggest money maker.

honestly, since the first couple of days of trying the "beta" (this is really alpha at best) and seeing nothing work I've given up on it. I'll try it again when they bother putting more time into making things function, but until then I fail to see the point in raising bug reports about the whole game

Doesn't do you any good posting this here. You should communicate this to them. All that most of you guys do is complain about everything with G-I. Why would anyone expect it to be different with BZ? hah! Even when they are offering for you guys to help shape the game. When has G-I ever done that?

Many of us here are working adults with not a lot of free time to spend on games. I know I would prefer a more enjoyable experience if someone can make it happen like BZ is currently attempting. That is my vested interest and if I can help make it happen, then so be it! It's that simple.
