I am surprised know one has started a topic on the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Being a huge Sharks fan and played hockey for many years this as been the greatest playoffs ever but i am biased.

My opinion and i haven't seen tonight's game yet is that the sharks can take either the Lightning or the Penguins. It won't matter. Also very happy for Thornton to finally make it to play for the cup.

Yeah, I lost interest when my Blackhawks lost in game 7 vs the Blues. You might be helped out by the fact that the Lightning and Penguins are beating the crap out of each other

Blues fan here. Thought this was our year but got kind of screwed with the playoff format. Having the 3 best teams in the west face off in the 1st 2 rounds is not a good format (Blues, Blackhawks, Stars), especially after each series goes 7 games. I had a feeling the Blues would falter down the stretch against the Sharks. The Sharks were just a much fresher team after playing softer competition (Kings, Predators). I personally think the Penguins are the better team but the Sharks will probably pull it out.

Nevertheless, the Blues misery continues....41 playoff appearances and 0 Stanley Cups.

It was a tough draw and honestly, I feel kind of bad for Tampa. 7 games for the 2nd straight season and they head home. Good bunch of players and some awesome goal keeping can't get them over the top as they score in bunches and then go cold. I thought the Blues would go the distance too after they knocked out my Hawks. I'm looking forward to this final, but I have a feeling the Penguins may be a bit worn out now

Not much talk so far, Penguins up 2-0 and Sheary playing like a veteran. See how it goes as it shifts back out West for games 3 and 4
