Ten years, four months and six days I've been playing this game. I'm embarrassed to say I still don't know what I'm doing. Seeing new teams come roaring through the divisions, kicking my ass en route to the top division, getting bored then leaving while I still fart about trying to build a team - sheesh - it' makes me wonder what the hell I am playing at.

Some seasons begin with me firmly believing I have a killer squad, ready to take on the world. But as the season progresses I Invariably realise there's something wrong.

There was a time I had a brilliant QB and WR, together with a dominant DL. We seemed unstoppable. What stopped us in the end was me throwing to the wrong side of the field in a vital end-of-season game. Shoot me now.

This season it's obvious what's wrong. I have a receiving corps to die for. In fact I have too many. But I've not got a QB. How the hell can a team play this long and wind up with no one who can actually throw the ball to a group of 19-skill receivers? It's embarrassing.

One of my WRs is also a decent RB. But when I play him there his running stats are dire. There's clearly something wrong somewhere but I'm too stupid to work out what. Somehow I hate myself for being so crap at this game. It's hardly Axis and Allies, after all.

Oh well, here's to another ten years of failure.

I feel what you say. Considering my first team, I'm almost 10 years in the game. With the second team everything went relatively smoothly up to the top division and I'm keeping my head up there, but I don't really understand why that is the case. I simply rely on the tactics I have been using for years and it works. Sometimes I win against stronger teams, sometimes I lose against weaker teams. In the end it is just a dice simulation.

This has often made me think about quitting the game, but I have always calmed down.

To another 10 years! Even if we both end up alone here.

passing game is hard in upper leagues i cant say for certain but I am one of the few remaining in the top divisions. the talent at wr and te will carry the qb but to compete at the top the qb needs to be on par.

I think the game is not even a game, it makes no sense and the moderators and people who ban people with no dialogue are beyond crap

Add in in some of the chat rooms and forums people gang up on people because they think its fun with no facts or foundation?

And then you get to the game play, where people are asking hey shouldn't a defensive lineman have blocking ? Erm no a defensive lineman shouldn't as he is not protecting anything, he is trying to get to the ball player

And you have to run all out only to win the big games, and you can't realistically maintain a top team, and it takes an eternity to train the players

And the people running the game suck mightly hard, thats as strong as i can probably put on here

I am here to break the transfer record thats all now as anything else in this game seems pointless like its creators

Think how I feel? I had the game totally dialed in (probably just a whole bunch of luck)....nevertheless, then they start messing with the GE. Now I just dabble in mediocrity, with literally no clue how to build the dynasty back. I can't even lose on purpose and relegate when my finances dictate that is the way to go. I'm likely stuck in TD for another season, which will make another season dedicated to avoiding chapter 11
