Can having a low consistency player be an advantage sometimes, because while they will not play well on some plays they will play fantastic on other plays. Just something I have been thinking about because I got a high talent low consistent player in my youth pull.

Based on the way the game is suppose to work, low consistency can be an advantage sometimes, especially for low skill level players. 20 Consistency means the player is suppose to play at his skill levels all the time. Every point below 20 is suppose to be a percentage of change possible, up or down. So at Con 18, it's a 2% change, at Con 10, it's a 10% change. The maximum change possible is 20% which, by the description is not possible since a player can not have a 0 Con. But I'm pretty sure that's the way the admins had described it years ago. Regardless of the percentage change, a player's skills can not adjust to over 20 or below 1 (not suppose to anyway).
So, with this in mind, if you have a low Con player with high skills, the skills 'could' go up, but may not go up much depending on how close the skills are to 20 already, but could go down quite a bit depending on how low Con is. On the other end, with a low Con player with low skills, the skills may not go down very far if there's isn't much room to 1, but could go up quite a bit in comparison to their current skills. Again, just for that game.

Keep in mind that this won't make low skill players with low Con anything close to top end players even for one game. 20% of 10 is 2 pts. So a 1 Con player with 10 pt skills 'could' play as if he had 12 pt skills for a game. He could also play as if he had 8 pt skills.

And to be clear, this is my interpretation of what the admins claimed consistency does. I have heard other theories.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that did help out a lot.
Thanks a bunch.
