A quick rookie question, if i may.
If a player will cap at 18 at speed and you keep training him to reach the next 100 points and he will have 18.99, is there a difference because of that or is that speed locked at 18?

Unless somebody knows something that I don't, I think the answer is we really don't know.
One benefit of having a higher percentage number is that when the player starts losing skill points after 31+ age, it will take longer to drop to the lower number(s).

I think there is a chance that the percentage numbers may have an effect when Consistency is factored in, but I don't know how much of an effect (or even if there truly is an effect).

Personally, when one of my players caps a physical, I stop focus training that physical.

From the top of my head, I do recall that the number used in all calculations is the integer of a skill, so 18.01 will have same effect in the game as 18.99.

But as PHI states, there could be a 'win' when the player begins to loose points.
