This should make Merc happy....apparently the 49ers are in talks with Kurt Warner and he flew to San Francisco for a visit and a physical. We all saw this past year that he has gas left in the tank.

yep, unfortunately he will not be bringing anquan boldin or Larry Fitzgerald with him. Plus we're just the other woman in this situation. He's just trying to bleed Arizona for more money by going to a conference rival. as a point of interest. If he plays for the Niners he'll have almost completed the NFC west jersey set.

Very true, Warner will resign with Arizona. He's just milking the contract by showing others have interest.

That is smart of him, even with the economic situation. Arizona will definitely resign warner for more cash.

i can't manage to see warner playing for the niners, they don't have a solid corpse of receivers, and they already have a game that runs around frank gore, i think he's just doing it to show the cardinals that he can still "shake it"...

by the way, if he stil dreams of the HoF, another year or two with the cardinals could raise the chances of it to happen...

Warner is already pretty much guaranteed a spot in the HoF. He is near the top in nearly every passing category. Keep in mind that his season with the Cardinals last year is only the third best year of his career.

Also keep in mind that he has been Super Bowl MVP once, and NFL MVP 2 times in 3 seasons. He won the NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP in the same year. Only 5 players have ever done that, all of whom are in the HoF I believe. He was part of the "Greatest Show on Turf". Between him and Trent Green, the team passed for more yards than any before or since. In addition, he is arguably the best postseason passer in history of the NFL. I don't think he'll have any problem getting in to the HoF...

He also has a nice record list:
* Second Highest Completion Percentage, Career (Min. 1500 attempts) - 65.75%
* Highest Average Passing Yards Per Game, Career (Min. 100 games) - 261.2 yards/game
* Most Yards Passing, Super Bowl (Game) - 414 yards vs. Tennessee Titans (only QB to pass for 400+ yards in the Super Bowl; also owns 2nd and 3rd highest yardage total in Super Bowl with 377 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and 365 against the New England Patriots).
* Most Yards Passing, Super Bowl (Career) - 1,156 yards.
* Most Yards Passing, Playoffs (Single Season) - 1,147 yards (in 2009).
* Most touchdown passes in a single postseason - 11 (in 2009, tied w/Joe Montana, who did it in 1990)
* Highest Rate of Games w/300+ Yards Passing (Min. 100 games played) - 45.2% (47/104)
* Most Consecutive Games w/300+ Yards Passing - 6 (tied w/Steve Young and Rich Gannon)
* Most Games with a perfect Passer Rating, Career (regular season only) - 3 (tied w/Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger)
* Only NFL quarterback to throw 40 touchdowns and win a Super Bowl in the same season (1999).

So yeah he is already a shoe-in for the HoF.

Oh, in other news, Warner re-signed this morning with Arizona for 2 years.

Yeah Warner should be a HoF already. If he's not, then one more great season and playoff berth would do it.
