Not really sure why i cant get a league win but have success in the cup games. Guess we are just a tournament team or something.

Div 111.7, Real Standings (W-L vs. humans)
1. Maryland Terrapins 3-0
2. Toledo Rockets 2-1
3. San Diego Blitzkrieg 2-1
4. Western Winners 1-2
5. BUFFALO BLACK STARS 0-4

Next week:
Maryland Terrapins vs. Toledo Rockets
Western Winners vs. San Diego Blitzkrieg

Two big matches...A win by the Rockets, probably puts them in 1st place on point differential. If Maryland wins the match-up, then they could have a 2 games lead on the pack (if the Winner hold serve at home).

Good game Maryland. I wasn't expecting to put together that type of day on offense or defense but any given Saturday it appears. My defense has always been built to stop runs first and passes later. It seemed to hold to that pretty well.

As for why Kegley decided to finally show his stuff again, I have no idea. His consistency is 18 but he plays like he flips a coin before every match!

Oh well, I'll take it and the top spot even though Steve has the rightful claim having taken us down earlier. But hey, it was only one point so I don't feel too bad

BUFFALO BLACK STARS vs. Toledo Rockets [USA]

This week was exciting, leaving with a 3-way log jam at the top with 1 lose and only pts separating those three teams. Western drop to 2 games off the pace, they'll need a better 2nd half of the season if they want to compete for the title. Same with the Black Stars.

Next week, the 2nd half of the season kicks off with the Black Stars looking to upset the league leading Rockets at the Black Hole.

Good luck to all!

Woot! That whooping gave me some breathing room! Now if the second half of the season could just turn out as well as the first half!

Nothin'

Perhaps expectedly, the rockets wins taking a half game lead. Interesting enough, I was wondering if the margin of victory versus the Black Stars might be sufficiently small that a bot blow out by myself or the Terps might result in a lead change. Guess not...

Anyway, I hope this division is decided by wins and loses and not point differential.

Good luck to all!

Well, the Rockets have only 3 more human matches, and the Black Stars are 4 games back to them, so they're pretty much eliminated.

As for me, I'm going to need a miracle.

Lets say, I beat the Black Stars, and we both beat the Blitzkrieg and Terrapins. Then, I'd be tied at 3 losses with both the Blitzkrieg and Terrapins, and the Rockets would have two should I beat them. I'd need them to form the triangle they did this first half, putting the terrapins and blitzkrieg behind me, and the Rockets tied with me. I'll then need to win on PD.

All in all, it's pretty much a 3-way race between the Terrapins, Rockets, and Blitzkrieg.

Okay, I'll buy that...higher mathematics was never my thing.

Anyway, the new big game is in two weeks when the Blitz play the Terps at the Giant Turtle Bowl!

Well, I'll be a little confused if I end up winning the division on points differential. I mean I've been treating the non-human league games as friendlies and playing my backups. If I can still win on points difference doing that, I'll be surprised!

That being said, I'm confident I can beat the Terrapins again barring some miracle, so if the Terrapins beat you again Steve, I'll have a nice cruise in. Your game will decide everything I think.

I've been treating the bot league matches as friendlies too and playing my backups/developing players. Not sure about the Terps.

I think the Rockets are the favorites...they'd be undefeated, 'cept for the 1 point lose. I'm a little confused how the Terps beat me good, Rockets beat up the Terps, yet I managed to defeat the Rockets. We may need the BCS to figure this one out.... :-)
