I know some people around here have read the series. It now seems like it's going to last forever.

I just noticed they split book twelve, A memory of Light, into three books. Robert Jordan said before he died he would make book twelve the last book even if it was 2000 pages, and if it's being split into three books, it probably would have been 2000 pages.

I still hope the books are good. The next one, The Gathering Storm, is supposed to come out November, 3rd of this year.

The reason Jordan said so though was because of the amliodiosis. originally he had intended there to be two more books, but given the time crunch that was dropped into his lap he wanted to complete it for us. technically, it will remain one volume with three distinct books like LOTR.

LOL! I'm reading through tWoT right now. It's pretty solid! Ofcourse I'm only 4 books in but it has kept my attention quite well.

I picked up the series after I ran out of books in the "Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R.R. Martin. I'm just waiting for the next book in that series to come out. It's the best series I've ever read and it is the most absurd too. Only Martin could dream up a "historical fiction" about the war of roses and still have room for dragons, sand people, kraken's, and wights. Can't wait for the next installment.

I'm a little mad because I forgot to bring the 4th wheel of time book home with me. Good new is I picked up a promising series called the "Sword of Truth" which has me enthralled atm.

I don't think i could read through a whole series of books. I can love a book read almost the whole thing, have like twenty pages left, put it down and never read it again. I just can't seem to finish books. I become bored with them.

when reading Wheel of Time and Sword of Truth Remember that WoT books usually come out a year before their SoT counterparts. Song of fire and ice is just stellar as is WoT, SoT "borrows" a little liberally from WoT for my taste, plus the books become formulaic, the Belgariad is a fun summer read too(RIP David Eddings) I also have started reading Karen Millers books which I highly enjoy.

Well, I finished the first book of SoT and can't say I was impressed. 3 more WoT books came in for me at the library so I'll be back on that track again. I doubt if I go back to SoT unless desperate.

if anyone's looking for a new series to get into, can thoroughly recommend the Steven Erikson Malazan book of the fallen

great series!
