I know that the basketball march madness tournament has the 64 teams best ranked in their divisions, but there is another tournament for the teams that don't get top ranked right ? Something like the "2nd place teams tournament" ?

If their actually is one can someone tell me the name please, I would realy like to get to know it better

National Invitation Tournament(NIT). It's 32 teams, including teams who won their conference in the regular season but lost their conference tournament, and includes pretty much everyone who even had a slight case for the big tournament.

Then there's the College Basketball Invitational(CBI) and another one who's name escapes me, but once you get down to those 2 the quality of teams isn't all that good and no one really follows either one.

Cool, thanks for the info

I kinda wanted to make a sugestion in the GI sugestion forum, they could make another competition for 2nd placed teams in top division and runner ups in regional cups based on this tournament, i think it would be a cool idea ( after all, just cause you got 2nd place doesn't mean you didn't work hard ) but i don't know if the community would like it ehehehehe
