We are back for another great season in Division II.2 This will be a preview of the human teams in this division with some thoughts on who should do well and who stands the best shot at a promotion to the Top Division.

Who Returns?
First up Megopolis Monsters http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=1008

JR723399 started off strong in this division last year but then ran into some issues and just missed out on the promotion to the Top Division. I still think that Megopolis has a great chance to win this division but things only get harder as we add more human managers to the division. Opens with the Chthonian Rebukers week 1, a bot week 2 and H-Town Indians in week 3. If Megopolis can come out of that 3-0 they will be looking good for promotion.

Next up is Sphinx 2000 http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=80

tradick started out slow last year but really came on and got some great wins throughout the season. Sphinx was right in the thick of things for the promotion but didn’t have quite enough to pull it off. Sphinx is a tough team and should be right in the thick of the promotion race again this season. Opens with a bot week 1, Toledo Vengeance week 2 and another bot week 3. If Sphinx can handle Toledo in week 2 they would set themselves up nicely for a good run in the division.

Finally we have my team the H-Town Indians http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=349

Last year I decided to do some rebuilding and focus on some other areas for my players. We will see how that turns out this year as I try to put my best foot forward and be competitive in the division. Towards the end of the year I seemed to make up some ground on the human managers and look forward to taking that to the next step. Opens with a bot week 1, Poo Choo Express week 2 and Megopolis week 3. If I can come out of that 2-1 I will feel confident about the season.

Who is new?

First up Chthonian Rebukers http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=1036

arayburno brings the Rebukers to us from Division III.5. arayburno has two season of managing under his belt and has two trophies to show for it. The Rebukers have a lean roster and look to rely on their running backs to get them a good chunk of yardage but don’t sleep on their passing game as it is potent in small bursts. Opens with Megopolis week 1, a bot week 2 and Toledo Vengeance in week 3. We will learn a lot about the Rebukers in that time to see if they can contend in Division II.2.

Next is Poo Choo Express http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=997

coopere007 brings the Express to us from Division III.4. coopere007 has about 2.5 seasons of managing under his belt and has two trophies to show for it. The Express have a larger roster with several high salaries listed. They appear to have a balanced offense and a good 3-4 defense. Opens with a bot in week 1, H-Town in week 2 and a bot in week 3. Should get off to a good start with only one human in the first 3 weeks. Should be a contender in Division II.2

Finally we have Toledo Vengeance http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=club&team_id=1058

shaftdiggity brings the Vengeance to us from Division III.6. shaftdiggity has about 3 seasons of managing under his belt and has three trophies to show for it including the season 2 regional cup championship. The Vengeance have a robust roster with many high salaries listed. They appear to have a balanced offense and shift between a 3-3-5 and 3-4 defense. Opens with a bot in week 1, the Rebukers in week 2 and Sphinx in week 3. A good start in the first three weeks could set up the Vengeance for a run at the Top Division. I expect the Vengeance to be a top contender in the division.

Well there you have a quick breakdown of the division. I am hopeful that we will have great games week in and week out. Best of luck to all the teams in NA Division II.2 and check back here for updates throughout the season.

Here is my first attempt at Power Rankings for Season 4. Those of you in the division and those of you that can read all the way through this stuff and have any thoughts or feelings on what will happen in the division please post. I would love to get some more conversation on this.

Good Luck should be an interesting season, wouldn't be surprised if the winner of this division has 3 or 4 losses.

The first week of season 4 is in the books. Let’s look at what happened in Division II.2 and what will come next week.

In the game of the week the Chthonian Rebukers took care of the Megopolis Monsters 21-7. Chthonian used a balanced offense and a stout defense to take the victory. A good start for the Rebukers as they look to make a bid for the Top Division.

Everyone else took care of their bots shutting them out.

Schedule for next week:

Couple of human on human contests this week. Should help to separate some teams.

We have Sphinx 2000 taking on Toledo Vengeance in one match and H-Town Indians taking on Poo Choo Express in the other. It is too early in the season to tell too much but I expect two close matches.

Megopolis and Chthonian have bots and will win as long as tactics are set.

Power Rankings
1. Chthonian Rebukers
2. Toledo Vengeance
3. Sphinx 2000
4. Poo Choo Express
5. H-Town Indians
6. Megopolis Monsters

Week 2 of the season is in the books. Let’s look at what happened in Division II.2 and what will come next week.

Toledo took care of Sphinx handily by a score of 42-7. Toledo used their suffocating defense and potent passing attack to coast in this game. In the other human v human game this week Poo Choo took care of H-Town 31-7. Poo Choo used a balanced offense and stopped just about everything H-Town tried to do to take the easy victory.

Everyone else took care of their bots shutting them out.

Week 3 of the season is in the books. Let’s look at what happened in Division II.2 and what will come next week.

Toledo continued their run through the competition taking out the Chthonian Rebukers by a score of 38-10. The Toledo defense was stout again and the offense used a big day through the air and on the ground to handle the Rebukers. In the other human v human game this week H-Town got the shutout win over Megopolis 14-0. It was a pretty slow game but the Indians used a strong defense and just enough passing to take the game.

Everyone else took care of their bots shutting them out.

Schedule for next week:

Only one human v human game this week featuring Sphinx and Poo Choo. Both teams have looked good so far but I am leaning towards Poo Choo in this contest. Hop on the Express!

Everyone else has bots and will win as long as tactics are set.

NA Regional Cup:

This week starts the North American Regional Cup. The Chthonian Rebukers are the only Division II.2 human team with a game as they face a bot. Everyone else has a bye into the next round. I will try to keep this updated for the human teams as they move forward in the cup.

Power Rankings
1. Toledo Vengeance
2. Poo Choo Express
3. Chthonian Rebukers
4. Sphinx 2000
5. H-Town Indians
6. Megopolis Monsters
