I think this season can be even more competitive than last season. The Rockets, if they hadn’t lost of me on that missed FG, would have locked up the title much early. The race for second place was tighter though.

This season we increase to 7 talented human owners: Buffalo Black Stars (Demnotready), Maryland Terrapins (bb2118), SD Blitz (me), Western Winners (croverja) and the newcomers, Findlay Creek Daschunds (CC Rider), Safugnoff Eagles (Jinto) & West Coast Sting (schu22).

Anyone of you guys want to take a shot at handicapping this division? I'm scouting it right now and will take a gander at it today or tomorrow.

My predictions from last season:

1. Toledo Rockets - correct
2. Western Winners - correct
3T. SD Blitz – finished 3rd, same W-L total, but behind the Winners on differential
3T. Buffalo Black Stars – finished 5th, but had some close loses
5. Maryland Terrapins – finshed 4th
6-10: Bots

My predictions for Season #4.

1. Western Winners – Finished second last season to the Rockets and seemed to improve more relative to the other 14-4 team (me) last season. Was clearly better than in the final meeting last season, so early favorites for this season.

2. Buffalo Black Stars – Probably the second best team in the division, but salaries have skyrocketed and I wonder whether Demnotready can keep the team together. Also, I wonder about the depth of this team – although injures aren’t much of a factor in Grid-Iron.

3. San Diego Blitzkrieg – seemed to regress a bit as the season went on last year, but that maybe due to training issues which will be corrected. Still a young team, lots of improvement ahead – I hope!

4. Maryland Terrapins – seemed to be one of the elite teams at the start of last season, but like the Blitz, regressed a bit on the field, as they were challenge Jerry Jones in the Stadium arena. Maybe the cash flow will start to pay off on the field this season.

5. Safugnoff Eagles – awesome season last year – but somewhat untested. Easily the best prepared of the new teams and maybe I’m misjudging them. Much higher total salary than the other promotees. Could finish higher.

6. West Coast Sting – just based on salaries, the Sting and Daschunds aren’t going to be super competitive with the other human owned teams. Sting seems to have a few better players (based on salaries) than the Daschunds – Glick looks like a nice, young QB, should give them the edge.

7. Findlay Creek Daschunds – the Canadian team in the division. Smallish stadium and newer team – with low salaries and all Canadian players, we’ll see if they excel at football as much as hockey. Game against the Sting could be exciting as they’re pretty balanced, except under center.

8-10: Bots - unless one of the humans throws in the towel, these guys are the second division.

Put Merc in the division, it's guaranteed that Findlay Creek beats him. You know how much his team likes Canadian QB's.

If I'm not mistaken (and I never am) all division three's are composed of champions. But good for you and good luck anyway.

I like those rankings Blitz, to answer the salary questions, i offloaded a lot of dead weight increased the stadium, should be alright for the season. As long as there are no injuries, no problems.

Well with the other power house team moving up it was already going to be promoted inless i had a upset over the only real Human team in the division last season

Ill be happy with a 5th place finish this season but i still got worries as LB with a rookie coming in to take the place of the 2nd best LB but i hope there not a large drop off and with Gordon still young the MLB spot is locked up for a while

As far as Salary goes im good there for a while i dont spend cash on anything but upgrades at the end of the season so inless theres a huge spike in salary in the next offseason i should be good for the lifetime of the team

I would like to think that you are misjudging me BUT in a division with Cro im almost guarantied to get 2 losses as i have yet to get a League or Cup win over him as for the others

Season #4, Div 111.7, Real Standings (W-L vs. humans)
1. Western Winners 0-0
2. San Diego Blitzkrieg 0-0
3. Maryland Terrapins 0-0
4. BUFFALO BLACK STARS 0-0
5. Safugnoff Eagles 0-0
6. West Coast Sting 0-0
7. Findlay Creek Daschunds 0-0

Next week:
Maryland Terrapins vs. Western Winners
Safugnoff Eagles vs. West Coast Sting

A couple of good week 1 game.

Terps v. Winners @ Byrd Stadium (aka the biggest stadium in North America when construction completes) may decide the early favorite for the division. Terps started strong last season, can they repeat that? A Western wins, means my predicts and fears of Winner dominance may be true!

Eagles v. Sting should give these relatively untested-in-league-play teams a good league test. I think the Eagles win and show they will be competitive with the older teams in the division

Good luck to all...

I know my team is a little "short in the tooth" so to speak, but hopefully I'll be able to give you guys some tough games. I agree that I'm probably a tad bit undermanned at this point for this division, but I'll give it my best shot. Maybe I'll even pull off a few upsets

Either way, it should be a fun season. I breezed through my last 2 seasons, so this one will be interesting for me. Good luck everyone
