Admin, I have a bye in the first round. Do I still get the sponsor money for a victory in the Regional Cup?

Admin?

No you get no sponsor money for a bye.

Don't you find that unfair compared to those teams who have the chance to get ticket-income AND extra sponsormoney? It can make a difference of +100K...

If you get a bye you get automatically into the next round and the next round means more prize money for your team (which gets "delivered" at the end of the season)

But now I am missing out on extra income via tickets and sponsoring, in a possible win match. Other strong teams (and teams from my league) now get more money than me. And they get more teamwork etc. etc.

I would say this counts as an automatic win, also in sponsor money.

It`s fair. The only thing is, that the higher division teams should have had the first round byes, since they already have higher sponsorship money, and this could have been a chance for the lower division teams to get some money through ticket/matchday sponsor/win bonus

It is an automatic win of sorts yes, but you will not get sponsor money for it.

Look at it this way, if you have a bye you are automatically guaranteed extra prize money for going into a higher round. And a bye is possible only in the first round and no other so we are not talking about big money lost here because of sponsors.

Admin, I'm one of those who'll play the first cup round, so I'm getting tickets money...
this season is going this way, but don't you think that next season you should find a better way to seed the first round?

I know I get extra prize money, but still I have a disadvantage over teams who get a first round and win. Sponsor and ticket income is that high, it's a big disadvantage for me. I feel confident I would have won my first round, so in that prospect I am losing valuable money.

The only thing I'd really be worried about is if a team who didn't get a bye comes in and beats a team who did in the 2nd round. That would mean 2 wins, the sponsor and possibly the ticket money that comes with them, plus the extra prize money.

But if the team with the bye takes care of business and wins in the 2nd round, it sounds like the prize money should make up for the loss of first round bonus money.
