What is (the difference between) a kicker and a punter?

A kicker kicks the ball at kickoff, and field goals.

A punter kicks the ball if the offense does not gain a first down, and has opted to punt the ball.

Short but sweet. Wikipedia might be worth a shot, as it will be more detailed.
