I have been experimenting with the FB position. I normally like to have one in the game but this game does not seem to make it necessary.

I can 't find an FB with a blocking stat I like. I also don't like how often FBs get the ball in this game. It's way too frequent and doesn't seem to give any advantage.

I've experimented and found that a one back formation is best for my team. Adding an extra Tight End (or just one) serves to enrich the run blocking while also providing an extra receiver. I find this to be my team's most effective formation. It would seem that it works for me because I have some very good receiving TEs.

All I can say is trial and error. Just screw around a little! I've played different formations in every game!

So far, until I get a QB I feel comfortable with, I've been running the Wing-T(2 HB's and a FB) with 2 WR's and it's been working great. The FB pretty much never gets the ball, but I've also been rotating my backs in and out of HB and FB game by game so they all get carries(all are pretty fast).

Later on when I balance my offense out I'll probably move a TE or a faster OL to FB.

two HB's AND a FB....that is glory football. I've been playing Power I with twin TE's and a FB. I've found that if I don't put the FB to a given side that I opt to run the offense to he fills his role as a blocker(in theory at least I put up 400 some yds rushing that way anyhow.) which is how the admins explained the behavior to work. if you put the FB out to a side it skews the who gets the handoff % in the determination formula.

I'll have to try the center FB sometime. I didn't realize it changed the number of carries given to the HB.

And this is just my experience but it seems to me that the incomplete passes are more often the fault of the WRs than the QBs. I've found that by maintaining a WR/TE core with catching of 5+, my passing attack does pretty well (my QB has tossed 12 TDs in the 4 games he's started). As far as I can tell, most teams are playing CBs with low tackling that can be taken advantage of. 4/5 passes my QB completes go for 60+ yards because the opposing CBs can't tackle.

Mercutioh, I also started out using the Jumbo package. It seemed to work much better than other formations for a run happy offense. It seems harder to defend against unless you have a nose tackle in (which I usually do). Right now, I'm mostly playing a jumbo package minus the FB plus an extra WR as it has proven the most efficient balance. It works especially well for my team because it allows for me to beat a team by passing in the first half while allowing for a solid running base for my HB to rip open tired defenses in the second half (he has 7 stamina).

Well i just run a 2Wr 1 TE and a HB FB offense but i have it set up differently for each game just to see how things work or and if i should keep things the same or change them

As the base Offense i got now we won 42-0 in the first game over what was an undefeated team not sure if it was the players or the user that won the game

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into that game. I'm not sure if his lineup wasn't set but the linebacker core he played looks like it would have had trouble stopping my grandma. My MLB has more tackles than every defensive player on their team combined. That's why you broke so many runs.

Well I just found out that my QB is a lot better than I thought, and I'd have to guess he's among the best in the game right now. 7 passing, 15+ intelligence, 15 speed. I'll have to keep in mind the catching and put my best pass catchers in at reciever. I may be able to balance the offense now instead of waiting.

I intended (i actually screwed up the last 2 games) to use a Dbl TE formation, including a FB offset to the side which I want to run, as a lead blocker.
But it doesn't work - the game hands the ball off to the FB all the time. It doesn't seem possible at the moment to use an off-set FB as a lead blocker.

3TE or Wingback formations also seem to be out.

Why is speed important for a QB? I don't have a QB with 7 passing. But I've got a CB with 7 passing, 7 vision, 7 footwork, 7 positioning, 5 carrying, 6 stamina and 14 intelligence. I'm guessing I should throw him in at Quarterback. He's gotta be better than that guy who played the 2nd half for the KC Chiefs last week...
