Glad to see someone else who is proud to call themselves a Lions fan. I know my picture is the Jaguars, but honestly I have Jacksonville at 1A and Detroit at 1B.

A Buckeye who roots for a Michigan team? and a Michigan football team on top of it? Sure do meet some interesting characters playing these online games but I love it though.

That being said I'm from Illinois and love all things Chicago (except the Sox) But I really struggle to watch Big Ten sports so I've kinda adopted the BC Eagles. I guess I have my own issues...

Yeah I like all the Detroit teams except for the Pistons(Bulls fan) and can't stand the Cleveland teams or the Bengals. I like the Reds as my 2nd team in baseball and the Blue Jackets as number 2 in hockey, but for some reason I've always liked the Detroit teams. Maybe it's from being having Detroit be the closest big city to my hometown. But using that argument, I'd be a Michigan fan over OSU.

It never felt weird til I got to college and people started telling me I should like Ohio teams though.

Good man on the Sox. You get a for that. Easily my most hated baseball team.

I'm an Ohio guy, except hockey (best finals for me, I like the red Wings and the Pens) and pro football (Bills, the Indians' farm team was in Buffalo)

State loyalty should only apply to college teams.pro teams leave town at the drop of a hat and hold taxpayers hostageto build new stadiums.

I agree for the most part. I'll also add that I can see cases where people from, say, Ohio can root for Michigan. If they're in NW Ohio and are actually closer to Ann Arbor, then really I don't have much of a problem. They're gonna hear it from me, but I respect their decision. Plus, obviously, any time you're born in one state and then move, or go to college at said university, then you're exempt from sticking with a state school.

I understand where you're coming from. My favorite NCAA basketball team is Depaul (yes they did go 0-16 in the Big East last year and our top two players declared for the draft so we'll be even worse next season, if thats even possible)

Since Depaul doesn't play football that sport has always been kinda up in the air for me and Boston is my favorite city outside of Chicago. Cool people, great food, and love the passion for sports.
