Yeah, at the very least everything starts fresh like at the begining of the game and at the start of the 3rd quarter. I Could see if GI started the third quarter like it does OT then it would be consistent, but it doesn't, so it's just odd and unfair.

well, lets face it. The chances of a team breaking a TD run/pass from your 30 vs their 30 are roughly equal right now. There are so few field goals that it really doesn't make too much of a difference!
