As a matter of interest, what would happen if (hypothetically) a national team from one country (lets say UK) was playing another nation who had some of the UK players playing in their league.

The coaches that had the UK players could theoretically set their training schedule to maximum and potentially crock the internationalists that were due to play against them.

Not that I think for one moment that it would be done, but there could be some desperadoes out there who would stoop so low.

who would kill hisown club performance for this? one single player is nearly nothing

Yeah you are probably right.. but if your club were sitting mid table near the end of the season with no promotion or relegation chances, it could be a ploy.

i doubt it would affect the overalls team performance if one or two players lose 10% energy

On another note, I see that the International games seem to be played in the home stadium of the NT coach.

Does he get to keep the gate receipts from these games? As far as I'm concerned Stoo is doing a grand job for the UK so he probably deserves it, but it would seem to provide a cash stream with no outlays for the guys which would be a nice little earner for those involved.

We've asked this question, and the G-I Admins said no. So no income as a result of Nat'l team games. I also think the games are played at the biggest stadium in a country. In some cases that's the home field of the National team manager.

too bad. denmark messed up their lineup, so our game is over before it even started. portugal and slovenia didn't even get their call ups done right, so this looks like a boring division to be in.
don't get me wrong. denmark looks really good on scratch. but not getting the lineup done is not exactly good managment.
