Would be great to see something like this in the real world cup when everybody talks about the non existing value of this game

you gotta admit though.. rushing would work better if both of them hadn't set their defensive settings to "defend against run" on all downs.
the rushing attack doesn't work great, but if you check out my last league game ( i played against peter's son actually, and he became second in the leagu behind me) my rushing average was excellent even though i used mostly backups. my average was 4.9 yards per carry. and that was because he didn't think i would run that much.

You might have been able to run, but would a run attack ever be able to keep up with a passing attack of equal strength against the same defense? Nope, not possible.

obviously the run doens't work as well as it should in this game. no argument there. i'm just saying the horrible rushing effort in the game (GER vs UK) is misleading since i can gurantee you that stoo and peter both set their defenses to defend run on all downs. if teams did that in the nfl, put 9 men in the box, even the best RB's would not have an average of more than 2 at the most. of course them the pass would burn the defense, but that's not what we're talking about here....

there is a difference. it's much easier to stop the run in real life as it is to stop the pass. e.g. Green Bay doesn't run the ball like at all this season, and still.. look at rogers' yards. you really wanna tell me that it is as easy to stop the pass as it is to stop the run? if so, you should become a head coach in the NFL, or at least a defensive coordinator since you'd have mastered something noone else hasLast edited on 2010-10-28 at 16:20
