How many quarters without an offensive tuchdown. Isn't it something like 20?

Yep and i guess we are starting Bruce Gradokowski for QB this week. Has anyone ever heard of this guy?

Going to give you a negative there.

isnt he the guy that ran out for a safety and was still looking to throw down field then had a funny look on his face when he seen the defender celebrating the safety

Not sure whats worse the drop the the browns or the fact the lions still suck and are have the worst record in nfl history

No that was Dan Orlovsky. Who, since then, actually hasn't played that bad. Give him a line to work with in Detroit and who knows if he can be good.

Gradkowski is better than Orlovsky. Lions need a better QB, but first need a better everything on defense and better offensive line. Take a look at what the Dolphins have done since the end of last season. Selected a solid left tackle with their first draft pick, then built around defense and getting the ball in their best player's hands (Ronnie Brown).

From everything I've seen from both through college and their limited pro experience, I agree. Neither will be a long term starter in the pros, although both could be a valuable backup with the right supporting cast.

Completely agree about what the Lions need to do as well. Taking Stafford or Bradford number 1(assuming they come out) would be stupid without a line to protect them. Plus, they took Drew Stanton a few years ago, and he has yet to play behind a good line. They have no idea if he can do the job or not, and right now it looks like they'll get him killed before he gets his shot.

Kevin Smith and Calvin Johnson are good starting points and possible go to guys. But they've got nothing else.

As for the Browns, they need quite a bit of work as well, but a lot could change if they can get some stability(and fewer injuries) at QB and have receivers who are more consistent catching the ball.

An O-Lineman as your first pick in the draft is quite smart, as they last longer then most other positions.

Well with out the pounds the Linemen take and deal out every play one would think they got the shortest career but oddly enough aside from punters and kickers they usually last the longest and as said above a goot Tackle to protect your QB be it a Left or Right Tackle will help

But i think you need a Good Line on both sides then a good go to running back and build around that cause no matter how great your QB and WRs are if all you do is pass history shows you lose a lot

Little known fact... the ROT is actually the highest average paid position in the NFL... Bet you didn't know that. Even the the Lines are well muscled and are in every single play the only real thing they have to worry about is someone rolling up their bag leg and killing their ankle or knee. I think the scrawniest guys play the highest impact position out there... the WR's. Man when a rookie QB keeps throwing the jump ball for them and they get hit in the air.... ohhhh nelly. I wince when I watch that stuff.

Actually, it's left tackle, not right. This is only different if you have a left-handed QB. The best tackle goes on the left side to protect the QB's weak side. Also, it is the safest position to draft, and arguably harder to find a good left tackle as it is a good QB in the NFL. The only way to get one is to draft one. Teams never release or trade their Left Tackle unless they are at the declining point in their career.

Well having a good Line makes every QB and RB happy cause its make them look that much better and a GREAT FB is a Backs best friend as hes a personal linemen just for the back

But Browns got too much troubles they have almost become the lions only they win more games in 1 season than lions do in 2-3 seasons

Patriots went 18-1 using an offense consisting mostly of passing...
