L.Eddy and N.Conners loosing physicals due to age. Time to replace.

Players needing consideration:-
Ramsay Sylvia (ID 587556)
Bradley Meesen (ID 514651)
Beau Firrito (ID 335468)
Jacob Groom (ID 458096)
Cody Ablett (ID 532796)
Eddie Cameron (ID 476387)
Easton Johnstone (ID 741047)

Good luck to the manangers in the running for the head coach gig.

Hopefully we do as well as WC8.

I have a number of other guys, but will have to post later as my spreadsheet is on a different computer.

LB will be stacked given current talent, Firrito + other finds I've got, so probably no room for Sylvia (as he looks a bit less developed). Austin Moles (ID 1080840) is one example. 15 skills in most things relevant (this was about 2 months ago), 20 speed, 15 strength, 5* BPOS and so on.

Those three QBs have been on the radar some time. Incumbents are better and around the same age (though Ablett is a bit younger and maybe a potential entrant later on).

And yeah, OL/SF is something to look at.

Done a few basic looks through my spreadsheet. E. Johnstone might be the world's unluckiest man, but I think he might miss out again. With Eddy out, I'm thinking of bringing in an Edwardstown OL named Siegert (yeah, bizarre right). Has more tacticals, footwork, blocking, intel, stamina, consistency (20 to 19!) and is 5*. Not by big amounts at all though. He obviously won't improve in skills, but with Johnstone hitting 28, I don't see him rapidly overtaking any time soon given he now won't train like he used to. I was thinking if anything he might replaced Donohue, but again both have their pros and cons. If we're going to play a high intel player for centre it'll have to be Donohue or Roughead, and Roughead just hit 30. Donohue is still ahead in skills obviously by some margin, but not quite as physical.

...maybe next year? Johnstone is a year younger than Donohue and Roughead will be hitting decline next season. But we've got a couple of guys like Kris Bellchambers and Fabian Somi that I haven't checked out yet recently who will probably have improved some deal. Johnstone has good strength and better speed than pretty much every 'new' OL prospect I've got on my books currently (Kris is 15, the rest lower), so it's a pity his skills are a bit unfortunate given OT is probably important (and we lack a lot of true depth there if we want a good blend of speed + strength + agility). Nothing set in stone here yet, I have a few more guys I need to have a proper look at.

I had hoped a separate 5* OL I had my eye one would have developed, but he's literally gone nowhere despite being on an active team. Has literally only increased 4 stamina which is thoroughly disappointing. That said, he lacked speed but it's still disappointing. Not quite as disappointing as that 20/15 5* WR who ended up on a bot team only mid-developed though, thankfully. Maybe I should stop keeping my eye on good talents?

As for the safety front, I have a couple of options which might do. They're all really quite slow though by my standards (5* and 4.5* BPOS players alike) and at least one is on a bot team. Keeping Connors for one more season as depth is an option (he was mostly depth anyway). We actually have some other depth on the team already. Michael Betts is an option but is likely to remain DL as he's now on a bot team and lacks a little bit in some safety skills. Kai Harber probably going to see more snaps (and at the very least much further up the pecking order) as he's improved quite a bit thanks to project (his strength going all the way to 20 that late in his career was pretty funny to watch, among other skills) and we obviously still have the two Kamikazis who are solid enough. Again, there's a good chance I find some more options when I get around to a proper look.

LBs pose another problem, but a good one. We've got a lot of depth here comparitively speaking. Will have to sift through to see who is king, but that's always nice. To demonstrate our depth even currently, Leigh Bootsma can play LB but listed as a HB (dual position utility player that has brilliant physicals, 5* BPOS, but mid range 15ish skills across a variety, presumably for salary purposes). Obviously we wouldn't want him playing LB too much, but we'll be prepared for any stupid injury sprees.

CB has a similar situation. Not so many potentials, but some decent ones + an improving bunch of incumbents. Bizarrely, one of our top prospects is now a dual BPOS HB. Has blazing speed, 18 tackle/position/agility and so on though.

QBs still have juice in them and are all very good. Have some fringe guys that could do a good job, but unlikely to see much change here.

WRs, no real work done here yet. Obviously still have guys like Marco Watters on my books, who may come back in if he's improved in some key areas (his spot in the team was taken by the aforementioned wonder WR who unfortunately went bot midway through development. That's how good he was, to still be selected).

TEs.... I think we know how I feel about the TEs. We are very thin here, but I know there are one or two in the pipeline.

HBs.... lol, HBs. We will have more depth thanks to one of our top CB prospects (who has soft capped in key CB skills except vision) turning dual position. Will only be as an FB though as he's got blocking (was a special teams CB for us last season) but little carrying power.

DLs, some decent talent looking in, will have to check out improvements made (if any)

G... I have one 5* guy that might pinch a spot, but again I have to have a look properly

KR... We're actually pretty thin on good KRs. I know last campaign we actually had a problem when one of them got injured and had to play a WR there. Now, it's all purely anecdotal speculation, but I think we had a few situations where we started quite a long way back on kickoffs that game (more so than usual anyway). I know we don't really pay much attention to special teams in GI, but being 55-60 yards from the endzone on a semi-regular basis is much better than 80+!

Ks... are very good, won't change. May drop one to include an extra KR while otherwise keeping team positional composition similar. All can do both jobs pretty well by themselves, but some are slightly better than one over another, hence why we usually have two different guys playing.

Please feel free to PM me players also. I guarantee I will find more players to add to my spreadsheet soon (along with updating potential players already on there), but more eyes are much better to have.
