I wish my youth talent would train up quicker!

Well, we're off to a winning start which is good. Decent margin which could be important later. Took us a little while to get going (at one stage it was as close as 24 to 28). Ethan Gibson had a good game in his first proper run out under me (though I'm still not convinced with his stamina...) and has a lot of similarities to Lyle (who had a quieter one). Johnny Anderson rumbled his way to the best stats of the day though! Well done to him. Aaron Riggio seemed effective. He had quite a lot of hurries in the game, but no one sacked anybody. His direct OT opponent was certainly a lot weaker than the other OT though, so I'm still trying to decide whether his skills + BPOS outweigh Bailey's physicals (who played DT this game). Our new starting CBs did ok I guess, hard to tell. Special mention to special teams. They were continually pinning Croatia 80 metres from the endzone (great set of numbers), and every bit counts!

Brazil pulled off a narrow win over Poland, which reinforces my belief that they're underrated (have a look at their star ratings for that game too, crazy!). We have Brazil next, so that is shaping up to be a hugely important game.

J.Anderson is a weird player. Sometimes he is asleep. Other times he is on fire leading every reciever stat available. Does it in league games also.

Great fourth quarter by the whole team.

Who was L.C. lined up against, next to nil production out of him. Lucky the rest of the recievers carried him.

You are right about Riggio. He should've been killing that side of the line up against a 4 star bpos 13 skill low stamina outside tackle.

Always good to get a win first up.

Injury free, all set and ready to go.

Brazil have some big wage firepower (hence why they surprised a few last cycle), but we'll see what we can do.

Victory!

Looks a bit closer than it was after they scored a very late TD to even up the 4th quarter 14-14. Defence finally stood the f@$k up, though this was a slightly different Brazil offence to the one they used against Poland. Also, not a lot of QB pressure this game (though we had the one LB sack + Brazil's Oline are pretty good), but that does mean the secondary is coming along then.

Ethan Gibson having a Schneider-like breakout with the NT and was on fire yet again. All other receivers put in a handy contribution too, with Archie having a massive YPC, and Lyle posting 3 TDs despite relatively low yardage.

Awesome!

Weird Ethan got so many reception but not one single TD.

Lyle only played ball in the redzone. 6 catchs, 64 yrds, 3 TDs. I guess he just wanted the cameras on him.

Archie - was running over the top of defenders. I wonder what he would have done if he actually was playing at his full potential? (Also his final reception was his 100th reception for Australia. Averaging 20.02 yrds per rec).

John had his snooze type game. Although did pick up some good yardage. The others made him look bad.

Defense did great. Lots of short yardage stuff and nothing too long given away.

Was gonna say with 2 wins it puts us in a strong stance within the group. But Croatia popped out a bot defense and Poland went on a scoring frenzy. Now with all that extra points, Poland have the stance. Only thing to do now is to beat them.

Nothing we could do about the Croatia vs Poland thing.

However, after all that, they're still only 7 points ahead in points difference, even after playing against a bot defence....
