Looks like we got a group of 5 for qualifying... more games!

Group G
Australia
USA
Austria
Ukraine
Bulgaria

Will have to be on point to get past this group here.

USA have been struggling the last few cycles, but I feel they're like a dormant volcano that could erupt at any time. I also hear they have this stud DL, so hopefully our OL sorts its shit out. I'd say the biggest threat to top spot despite their current form.

Austria are always very competitive. I still have no idea how their solo 16/16 DE with so-so skills tore through our OL last year, but it was what it was. They can be a good side when they're not just running the ball (or playing against bot defences )

Ukraine suffered the same bout of 'running the ball' as Austria did last cycle. They actually ended up beating perennial contenders Serbia when they actually threw it, so that tells me they're better than their last campaign. They also have this really stud QB (actually, potentially two of them), but last cycle they primarily used their #3 the whole campaign. It showed too, as he constantly called running plays! On a serious note though, I could see them potentially stirring the pot if they get their act together.

Bulgaria probably aren't on the same level as the other teams at the moment. A very fresh NT that still has a lot of room for development. With all due respect, I think anything less than 2 wins out of 2 here would be disappointing.

A couple of questions -

1/ It would seem that having players on the roster that are retiring is a simple waste - obviously they just disappear at season rollover and leave a void on the roster, correct?

2/ If a player has just changed teams and has low Chem, does that effect his NT performance?

I am presently feeding the present roster into my spreadsheet and will start making moves probably later today or tomorrow.

So retiring NT players stick with the NT until the WC ends?

Btw, do players set to retire on bot teams ever actually retire unless taken over by a human at some point?

players that are set to retire do so at the season changeover. if on a NT squad, they just dont retire at season changeover.

yes you are correct about retiring player on bot teams. the team is taken over and the NT players hit the market as free agents. they get 2 48 hours transfer windows. if someone bits, they go to new team. if someone does no bid, then they retire.

the main thing to what we using bot team players is the division teir level the players bot team is on. if it is on the lower/bottom teir, then there is a good chance of the team being taken over. and as above may dissappear. doens't mean don't use this player, just have a backup plan if said situation does arrise.

if the bots teams isn;t on the bottom teir, then no worries at all.

I'll use Rhys Drummond as an example. On a bot team so not loosing any physicals. Also team is in level III teir, so a while before being at the bottom. He left my team with 15 spd, 19 str, 18 agi and 18 sta. IF those still outweight other choises for OL, then keep him as he'll be around for a while.

Ivan Wall makes a comeback. Haven't seen him in a while. 14 games and 4 sacks. A chance to add to those numbers.

Man of the Match - Zac Hudson - 6 pressures. LBs had a pressure and a sack also.

McLeod had the worst match rating of any O or D player and tore the yanks a new one, closely followed by Carlile who picked up where he left off vs my Convicts the other day.

Awesome performance!

Apart from McDougal taking over from Bandy soon, I don't see this lineup changing much any time soon.

McLeod had to be man of the match. Lots of 1st downs. Consistently kept the drives advancing. Left the others to collect touchdowns.

Carlile did a great job on his debut national team game.

Surprizing defensive roster, but it did it's job.

Great start and great coaching. I like what to did with the recievers, spreading out faults to minimize them.
