Connor Morton and Kai Harbar had stam 20 games and a bad roll for Rhys Drummond. James Wood had a great roll (5* all day) but still gave up 3 pressures and 2 sacks, all in the 2nd half.

Overall -
2 pressures in first half (great)
6 pressures and 2 sacks in the 2nd half. My only explanation is the stam 20 effect of Morton. The QB and both WRs were 5* all day but McLeod had a bad roll and day.
Harbar got smoked 3 times in the 2nd half.
Offense shut out in 2nd half.

Basic theme - 2nd half.
Basic explanation - stam 20.

Really disappointed with the timing of this. The only other time we got stung with this was vs Austria which also resulted in a poor performance. But in that game I got caught out when Hayne hit stam 20 and so we had the stam 20 hit between him and Harbar, both on defense and Morton never had it. But the offense was still piss poor that day as well. Today there was only the one stam 20 player on both O and D and the stam 20 bug hit - first time this cycle.

xxxx it!

Don't beat yourself up, you have done a great job so far, just one blip. You just have to win out now. As for your assessment, there are some issues with the way you have looked at it. Wood, actually was your best start/end game roll and he, in fact, prevented your team from getting even more pressures. This game does not work with one OL player fending off the blitzer. Each play consists of two parts. When there is a pass play, the entire OL is compared to the DL and LB group to see if there is either pressure or not. If there is pressure, then the system will grab usually a DE, but sometimes will grab a LB and compare it with the QB's skills to see if he A) evades the pressure and still has an opportunity to complete a pass; B) Gets pressure and throws incomplete pass; C) gets sacked and loses yards; D) decides to run the ball.

Now with that in mind, if you compare your entire OL, Drummond had 4*/4* start and end game; Morton had 5*/4*; Johnson and Roughead both had 4.5*/4.5*; wood was the solid 5/5 guy.

On the Defensive side, the US team had 3 out of 4 on the DL get 5/5, while one had 5/4.5. They had 2 out of 3 LB's get 5/5 and 1 got 5/4.5.

This is clearly a defensive front that was manhandling the offensive line. I'm really surprised there weren't more pressures/sacks.

That's the game in a nutshell, if you want my opinion

Sorry gents - 2 stinkers in a row and we're out!

I was determined tonight to not get beat by the stam 20 issue but the offense stunk it up again - a lousy 381 yds! Wood had a stinker and I also think I should have passed outside or to a wing in hindsight. D was ok considering how poor the offense was.

(us first)
Pressures 7 - 4
Sacks 0 - 2
3rd downs 4/10, 3/6

Ethan Gibson 7/11 (64%)
Archie McLeod 6/14 (43%)
Jared Grose 3/6 (50%)
Kai Carlile 7/11 (64%)

In hindsight, should have winged it to Carlile probably.

Bet we win tonight - when it doesn't matter! I have put the best team on the park without regard to stam 20.

I'm sure you mean Joshua Roughead, whom has been on the transfer market all week without a buyer. He had his 2 goes and no buyer was found.

He dissappeared at 9am AEST this morning.

No, I never missed that, It's just that I thought you posted it so I could keep an eye on fading physicals - I never knew he could retire!

If nothing else, I learnt a lot from the last few days!
