Why do you think you are not qualified? The qualification is still going on, in the other groups...

i was just counting the games and was mislead i guess, because we only play 6 games and the other nations 8 made me think play offs had started, i wasnt paying attention.

So, there so no way of stopping the running game.

You need just one player and he will rush 60 times without a single fumble and you avoid interceptions and sacks. Congrats, well done, devs!
You don't need QBs, receivers, nothing. So much fun! There's no way I'm supporting this game anymore.

I also do not seem to be correct the current game engine settings.

Can they be changed?

Wouldn’t being tackled behind the line be equivalent to getting sacked? The never losing a fumble thing should be changed, probably would be a quick fix too

It certainly appears like my surprise Bosnian wins have spawned some new offensive strategies in Group F.

The running game does seem overpowered, but especially so when the opponent sets their defense to all pass. That mismatch in defense guarantees a loss virtually every time.

I suspect that has always been the case. However, since no one ever ran the ball before the GE tweaks, it was never really noticed before.

Allowing fumbles to be recovered by the defense would help balance things a bit. As would tweaking the defensive options somehow.

Can't blame you.

It's not like you can't stop the run. Equal good Teams, on paper, lose with all run against all pass. Obviously teams lose when both teams play all run. But there's a pretty high variance when you play all run. At least that's my theory so far.

Interestingly in a lot of the games I see where the run has been successful, teams are only playing three defensive line players. One game I have seen a five man line be okay, but still lose. I think some variation in tactic may be needed.

Yeah, but on the other hand, look at Finland, f.e. They play a 5 man line with a SS/C. In theory, the perfect lineup to stop the run. Didn't help them in any of their last few games.

Group F and Group G are worthy to follow. Week after week, things get really interesting on these groups.

Ouch. Bosnia blew a 2 TD lead in the 4th quarter and lost in OT. That hurts and probably kills our Cinderella dream of qualifying for the WC.
