I think we are using the AFLC. Squish I am with you for Normal FF I just assumed since there are no substitutions or set positions for every team for every game we can only guarantee 18 available players total per position (actually less with TE/WR as you can set a lineup with 0 of these).I'll play but I am not going to be commish/stat gatherer

I was just thinking. Maybe we could just to a test run as a stud pick'em. We pick 2 or 3 positions and a region + division or two and everyone picks who they think will do best at those positions. This way we don't have to screw around with a draft right away.

I don't know, as long as you limited the pickable players to a couple divisions, it wouldn't take much time to add up point totals manually.

I'd say we keep away from individual defensive stats in the game log. Focus on stuff in the final game box score. If you want to do defense, do it by range (points allowed, passing yards allowed, rushing yards allowed, total yards allowed, etc.). Adding in tackles for loss doubles the time needed to get stats.

what can we get from box score page?

Touchdowns 6 p for the rb and 6p for wr/te and qb
Fieldgoals 3 p for kicker
passing yards: 1 p for 20 yards
rushing yards: 1 p for 10 yards
receiving yards: 1 p for 20 yards
1 p per 3 tackles of the whole defense
1 p for each sack of the whole defense

The roster would be:
1 qb
1 wr
1 wr
1 rb
1 te
1 wr/te/rb ?
1 def

Should be possible, what do you think?

If you limit it to a couple divisions... I think I'll drop out... I see the logic behind that, but liked it more before. Sorry, but with bots and all that's definitely a smart thing to do anyways.Last edited on 2009-03-07 at 20:49

Actually most FF defensive info is directly from the box score. Here's an basic idea. I'll trust that you could elaborate on it from the point of different stats.

EX. Points given out in a range for total yards allowed by a defense:

10 points if under 100 total yards given up
7 points for under 150 yards
5 points for under 200 yards
3 points for under 300
1 for under 400
0 for over 400

Note that this type of scoring would also help balance out Bot games. Nearly the same amount of yards are given up against bots as against humans.Last edited on 2009-03-07 at 20:50

Stats... Pretty much everything you need, the whole defense, passing rushing...

I would not do that. Every player is free to choose players / defenses from what division he want. It does not matter for gathering stats where this players are from.

OK, so each players chose a defense from the GI world and the only points a defense could get is based on this table. Should be easy...

Edit: this means total yards allowed, rush and pass, right?
