As a Bear fan I do have to say they gave up a lot, however, with their history lately with picking rookies it might be a good move.
My bears defence isn't getting any younger with most of the players feeling the age as well. Most contracts will be up in a couple of years and I don't know how many players they will be able to keep around. One thing is for sure I'm sure WR's were having a little dance when they found out about a new QB.

Personally, I would have settled with a qb who would just hold onto the ball. Hestler, was a qb in high school maybe they should have given him a try The bears would at least have an option of running the ball then throwing it.
