Cutler got his wish and has been traded by the Broncos.
According to sources, Broncos will receive the Bears' first-round draft pick (18th overall) this year and in 2010, a third-round pick (84th overall) this year and quarterback Kyle Orton in exchange for Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round selection (140th overall).
That's a whole lot of draft picks.

Broncos now have Orton and Chris Simms as their top options at QB.

Well as long as the Bear dont think they already won the SB as both fans could have it blow up in there face lol

this helps out the bears a LOT as they have never had a good QB all of them have been average or worse the last "Great" qb they had was Sid Luckman....the bears go through QB quicker than any team in nfl history even though they got a LOT of NFL titles

Plus, I don't think I know the name of a single Bears WR. That can't be good for Cutler.
Not that he was counting on my NFL WRs knowledge to sign for a team, but still...

The Bears gave WAY too much for a QB who just proved that he will whine and quit on his team at the first sign of trouble. I have a feeling that in as little as a year and for sure in 2 or 3 the Broncos will be laughing as they make a run in the playoffs and the Bears are sitting at home at 6-10.

Draft picks are like gold, and you don't trade 2 first rounders for much of anybody. Much less a QB who has had 1 good year and had the problems Cutler had this year. I would expect the Broncos to go out and draft the best available QB at either 12 or 18 then hit the defense hard. They may miss the playoffs next year, but they will be a great team in the years to come.

So much for Cutler being the next Elway in Denver. THis trade is going to be either really great or really bad for the Bears, hopefully really bad

How is this bad they get a proven QB that they know can plan an all you see in one side of the story the only reason he was whining was because the OC left when he was told he would stay that could be true or not but also the HC never tried to contact him then is trying to trade him that would piss any one off

You need to look at it as if it was you im sure you wouldnt be happy with the new coach and the current gm that didnt care much for you wondering what they are going to blame on you next season this way Jay wont be blamed for anything and being on a new team has a lot of reasonable excuses

McDaniels tried to get Cassell, a QB he worked with in the past. He failed, and Cutler took it personally. Then he complained for the next 2-3 months.

I'm sorry but, IMO, anytime a team can get rid of a player who would have been nothing but problems the next season AND get 2 first round picks for him, it's a great trade for them. It may end up working out for both, but I'm still not convinced that Cutler can perform when it counts. After all, the Broncos did fall apart at the end of last season, and while he had a great season, he threw a lot of interceptions, including 7 in the last 6 weeks. The team's record in those 6 games? 2-4. He could end up being one of the best QB's in the league, but he has a lot of growing up to do, both on and off the field.

Well i can see we got different view in it and i see both sides a fault and all could of be avoided i think of the HC would of talked to him and told Jay that he tried to get his old QB because he knows him better and the deal fell though and that jay would be he starting QB but according to all the reports Josh never really wanted to talk to him and figured if he followed what Bill done that things would work out but it only works for Bill cause of them rings and respect he has of the team and owners

But i think this will REALLY helps the bears in there run to win the Central/North Division of the NFC as GB is the only other one that has a QB that is good enough to start on most teams

By being a baby and not a team player, Cutler will ruin his career in the swirling winds of Soldiers Field. Many QB's have failed there and I bet not one poster here can name a good QB that has played for the Bears......and don't be quick to say McMahan, look up his career stats and it proves that winning is a team game (good defense and running game to compliment the QB).

Cutler has a stronger arm than John Elway, at least according to Cutler. that being said, i think his arm is strong enough to account for the swirling winds of soldiers field.
