Do you play this football game?
Any opinion?
What's different from GI, and what's better?

I've been playing for about half a season.
It's WAY more in depth than GI, you really need to know your football and it's a lot closer to the NFL style of game and divisions than GI and GLB, and probably the most realistic of the 3.
I like it, it's team management rather than players like GLB, but it does need quite a bit of time to set your team up right.. and the injuries are brutal, losing your star RB with a torn ACL in game 2 is not fun

No, you are in a league with 31 other teams, in 8 conferences. It is the exact same system as the NFL.. playoffs, Conference games, "Super Bowl" championship.
There is no promotion or demotion. There is a full draft, ordered by season ranking.

Why did you abandon it?

Your team wasn't that bad

Well guys, new to the league and already it looks exactly like WLF (WorldLeagueFootball) Excepting that in WLF, you can at least choose a selection of plays... But in either case, there is absolutely no control over the outcome in either case, since true gameplanning for your opponent exists in neither...

Back to deeproute/vofl for me...

Good luck to you all just the same...

Well, deeproute is definitely the game for true football fans. Everything in the game is based off of the actually statistics from the NFL. Injuries are brutal sometimes, but they are accurate. NFL teams have the same number of injuries per season as the average deeproute team.

The one thing about deeproute is that once you start to play it and really get into it, there really is no going anywhere else. Deeproute is so far above and beyond any other online football game in terms of simulation and realism that every other game pales in comparison. In terms of realism, it makes GLB and other games look like "fake" simulations. This explains Tex's last post. I've been in his league (one of the best) for 3 seasons now and I can attest to his skill on that site. That's why his bored of this one. It just doesn't compare. Where this is a clone, deeproute is a revolutionary. It will likely last forever.

If it's truly realism you want then deeproute is your game. I think it's as close to coaching as you can possibly come. It's more accurate than even Madden. Everything just makes sense! Inter-divisional games are always close like in real life. Home field advantage does appear to make a difference. the draft system is flawless and the playbook options allow you to customize the hell out of a team. I think my self quite the guru but I still haven't ventured into the playbooks. Others have and turn into perennial superpowers.

All I can say is that if you want to be the best, you have to play with the best and the best play on deeproute.com!
