Week five of the season is in the books and it is looking like a two team race in Division II.2

Pretty boring week as everyone had a bot this week and took care of business.

Schedule for next week:

Game of the week- Megopolis Monsters vs. Oakland Destruction.
It is finally here the battle that we have been waiting for all season. This will go a long way in deciding the champion of Division II.2 I think Oakland gets the slight advantage in this one as they will be at home but it should be a great game. It will be interesting to see if it will be a low scoring game as Oakland has yet to allow any points in league play and Megopolis has only allowed 7. If you get a chance I would recommend watching this game as it is played live.

Prediction-Oakland Destruction in a close one.

Also this week- Sphinx 2000 vs. Tennessee Orange
This is a battle for 3rd and still a potential shot at the top for Sphinx if they can pull out the victory. I am interested to see what Tennessee will do in this game as they suffered a couple of early defeats to the front runners. Keep your eye on Sphinx 2000 if they pull off the win as a dark horse for the division.

The NA Regional Cup moves into its third week and here is how the human teams from Division II.2 are faring so far.

The previous week all human teams won their games and moved on to the next round. This week's schedule for Division II.2 in the Cup:

Megopolis Monsters get a bot.
Oakland Destruction takes on a Division V foe in the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sphinx 2000 get a bot.
Tennessee Orange get a bot.
H-Town Indians get a bot.

All Division II.2 teams should move on to the next round of the Cup with no problems.

Another game you can look at, is the team both of you lost to in the cup last year, who ended up winning it all. The Toledo Vengeance. But good luck, and I hope we can meet in the cup again this year.

An exciting week six of the season is in the books and we have a clear cut leader in Division II.2

Game of the week featured the Megopolis Monsters vs. Oakland Destruction. Megopolis came away with a 24-14 victory and a stranglehold on the division. This game definitely lived up to the hype. Megopolis controlled both sides of the ball and forced the Oakland defense to give up its first points in league play. The game was tied at halftime at 14 but Megopolis shut down the Oakland offense in the second half and the Megopolis offense was able to find the end zone in the third quarter and kick a field goal in the fourth quarter. Great game by both teams! Megopolis is now sitting pretty for promotion to the top division.

In the other human vs human game the Tennessee Orange came away with the victory against Sphinx 2000 by the score of 21-10. Tennessee controlled the game from the beginning and did not allow Sphinx to score until the fourth quarter but by that time Tennessee had built a 21 point lead and it was too little too late for Sphinx. Both teams will need some help if they want to be promoted this season.

H-Town Indians took care of a bot...yeah

Game of the week- Megopolis Monsters vs. H-Town Indians.
This is the only human vs. human game this week and should be a relatively simple victory for Megopolis. H-Town is still in the midst of re-tooling the roster and shouldn’t put up too much of a fight.

Couple of interesting match-ups next week for the Cup in Division II.2. It looks like Megopolis, Oakland and H-Town should move on. Sphinx and Tennessee look to have a tougher time. My guess is they both move on but keep on eye on the Tennessee match-up as the MF Ogres look like a pretty good squad.

Week seven of the season goes as planned in Division II.2

Game of the week featured the Megopolis Monsters vs. H-Town Indians. Megopolis came away with a 34-3 victory. Megopolis controlled this game from start to finish. Though the Indians are slowly improving and put up a better fight in this game then they have in the previous games against humans.

Everyone else had a bot and took care of them easily.

Week nine of the season is finished and suddenly things are much more interesting in Division II.2

Game of the week featured the Megopolis Monsters vs. Sphinx 2000. Sphinx 2000 shocked everyone by pulling off the upset 14-13. Sphinx 2000 was able to put up 2 touchdowns in the second quarter and then hold on for the victory. The defense of both teams was stout but Sphinx 2000 was able to hold Megopolis to 2 fieldgoals and that was the difference in the game. Great game to both teams!

Everyone else had a bot and took care of them easily.

This is the only human vs. human game this week. Can Sphinx 2000 ride the momentum of their big victory last week? Can Oakland capitalize on their sudden good fortune of being in 1st? This game will have my attention.

The NA Regional Cup moves into its sixth week this week and here is how the human teams from Division II.2 are faring so far.

The previous week saw a couple of tough matchups for teams in Division II.2. Megopolis Monsters went down in defeat to the Boise State Broncos who have a very solid squad. Sphinx 2000 was also put to defeat by the Buffalo Black Stars who are another solid squad. So that leaves the Oakland Destruction, Tennessee Orange and H-Town Indians as the teams remaining from Division II.2

Next week's schedule for Division II.2 in the Cup:

Oakland Destruction takes on a Division IV opponent in the Holly Springs Hawks.
Tennessee Orange takes on a Division V opponent in the San Antonio Cheap Shots.
H-Town Indians takes on a Division II opponent in the San Diego Thunder.

H-Town has a very tough match-up this week in the cup and this could be the end of the line for H-Town. Should be a tremendous game. Tennessee and Oakland could lose here but I think they have enough firepower to move on.
