I was shocked that you got fined, because you are a nice, positive guy...

But then I saw this:

xxxxxxxxx May be worth removing this section just in casexxxxxxxx
Maaan, just please stop posting...

btw: All this topic and all we do here, discussing fines, discussing cases is I think illegal and we all can get fined for this...

possibly... the rules state:

4. PUBLIC COMPLAINTS
No complaints about other managers in public community.
5. NO ACCUSATION OF CHEATING / ABUSING MANAGERS
No accusation of cheating / abusing managers in forums, you need to contact the admins via PM / "Contact us".

so its a fine line... while discussion of things like, should people be informed in full why they are fined, and whether they should be able to appeal is ok by the law, comments on individual cases, and accusing people of cheating in public, even if its been fined or not, is in fact against the rules... so may be worth removing the section from your post above about it (i have marked it out for you, just in case)

I know it really stinks to get fined, but the best thing to do is just move on. Good Luck to you in the future man

I was under the assumption that a fine would be the result of suspicious transfer activity between 2 players (which we can all see) plus some shared IP address activity that only the Admins can detect.
If thats the case then there really is no issue here.

I'd hope that the admins would only fine someone who they were sure was cheating. In fairness to them, I don't remember another case where it was proven that someone was fined unfairly so unless theres some major way to prove no cheating took place I'd have to believe the admins acted in the fairness of the game

As long as we stick with the rules, as long as we dont change the style of this conversation, as long as we all stay on the polite side...there is no reason for any action of mods/admins. And since the "suspicious subject" started the conversation it is no namecalling. The dolphin7 is no longer in this game, so it is not namecalling.

what do you mean by fines?

Admin has said they fine users if they find suspicious activity. I believe the amounts are $500k and $1Mil.

Amounts are different from fine to fine, depending on the rule break

Ok then. I remember hearing those numbers specifically somewhere, perhaps from Karma.

Edit: and I think Ro said something about being fined $1,000,000 too.

Yes Ro had problems then he just build up a good team and then there was a good manager who was planning to quit or something so he listed a crappy player for 500k or so and that manager bid on that player and he got fined 1 mil and he had problemse getting back on his feet.

And so is it illegal to list a crap player for way over his worth? there is just a stupid manager crazy enough to bid on him right?

The "Ro-Story" is not really comparable. Ro knows what he was fined for.

if you see in the future the same player is highbidding on your players you should make this public or at least contacting the admins. I know: it is your money and you will complain then for too much money. This is totally crazy. But you could "avoid" that your list looks suspicious as it looks today.

Other will agree: you transferlist looks a bit strange - which is not meant like "you are guilty".

Edit: Lets see tomorrow after the update if you run into financial trouble or not. Hopefully nobody will help you by buying players for 20 million cause this will lead to trouble again.

guys, I obviously have little to say about this but sometimes fresh eyes DO help ... this is the problem I suggested from the first day I started this wonderful game.

1) it really isn't a 'free' market.

2) i don't want to have to be an 'accountant' worrying and tracking how many of my players were bought from the same person or whether or not i put a guy on the market for a 'fair' and 'reasonable' price. I want to scout talent, groom players and build a successful franchise from the ground up.

It seems another thread is need in the suggestions but there needs to be a fair amount of overhaul of the talent market. If this happens when there is about a 50/50 split between humans and bots then just image what happens when its 75/50.

cheers

I doubt it'll be 75/50

Agree with your 2). But I highly doubt the Admins go by just that when determining if someone is cheating or not - it is probably a number of things pointing in the same direction. In general; if you know what you've done/not done and your conscience is clear and you haven't broken any rules, I wouldn't worry. Sucks to break a rule inadvertently though.Last edited on 2010-01-13 at 16:42

I'll be honest, Ive seen gatr22's players go for some absurd totals and I thought they looked pretty odd. I also some pretty familiar bidders on some of those players.

Don't get me wrong, I wish I had the sort of bids on some of my sales that he has gotten...but...I don't know.

Gatr22 brought this up, not me. So, I'm just adding my 2 cents. If you wanted the opinion of other users, there you have it.
