Edward Shirley should surely make it next season. Got left out this cycle. By callups next cycle, he'll be:-

16 spd
20 str
18 blk
18 agi
18 sta
13+ fwk
1+ pos
2+ vis
15 int (if you feel it is important)
18 con

He was on the list listed as "FUTURE". Had 17 blocking, 16 agility, less stamina, footwork, etc when I checked him out. Maybe an oversight given how players can grow, but it's a tough call between choosing 'made guys' and guys with better potential (but then having to rely on said teams developing them in the meantime). I mean obviously you're pretty reliable, but what if you suddenly botted for some reason and obviously from some guys like Austin Moles and Ronald Burrows we know that waiting for that development can be painful (though Ronald is good now )

I didn't mean "left out" like he should have been included. And I understand the dancing between built and building.

Burrows is a great example. I almost ditched him last cycle. And somewhere inbetween, his manager finally decides to build and unleash this player. FINALLY!!!

I can see why Aisake Hughes failed to make any impact. Strength is too low. Ivan Wall had the same issue. Great built player, but strength lets him down at international level. Last edited on 2014-12-05 at 11:32

Oh well, the Spanish went all the way and won the final in convincing fashion.

Noticed that the Italian team had a few players that dropped a full star {one of them was one of their 2 TEs - their only 2 receivers) but it was due to low stam, not stam20. I suspect that's what the stam20 bug does anyway i.e. makes a player's performance fall away quickly, maybe like stam = 1.

Anyway, here's to next season!

We made the top 8, good result I think in my opinion.

I had a look through the new top 100 wages players and stumbled upon some other younger players worth watching while sizing up my AFLC opponents.

Top 100 list didn't bring much new to the table. Only found a handful of players worth puting on the watch list.

Yeah, after our match I picked the Spaniards to go all the way. Italy have a great list, but depend way too much on Dino for their offence. I mean, he's good... but the blind faith in him is incredible. I remember having a former Italian NT WR that never got thrown to (because they always darkwinged to Dino) and he had much higher skills/build, a few other better attributes as well... in exchange for like 4 strength. I think they would have been UK dominant if they spread it around a bit more. This season they did spread it around a tiny bit more (instead of darkwinging to Dino, they played 2 receivers) and... what do you know... World Cup Final (and I honestly think Zanon the #2 receiver now isn't as good as Bianco, my guy, was)

Eh, he's better than Michael Betts and had the 0.5* BPOS on Wall. I dunno how sacks/pressures really work though... I mean the Austrian DE that wrecked us twice was 16/16 ffs...

P.S. As I'm sure you know from this post, he is for sale for anyone out there interested. 28 years old, so still a couple of seasons in him.

Rhys Drummond's and Lyle Cartledge's Spainish team went bot. I know Lyle's physicals are gone, but Rhys' should be alright. The team is 2 levels above the bottom leagues, so he should be around a while.
