Based on what he said earlier about going bot tonight; if he got a notice last week, then he needs to be above -$400,000 after the update to keep from going bot. Just firing players won't do that.

I was just about to argue, but looking back at the original post you are absolutely right and I'm talking nonsense. For some reason I had in my head that DG_31 was going to be -$900k after the next update, not -$900k now

Bizarrely my boy had a warning 2 weeks ago, should have gone bankrupt last week but didn't.

Likely to go this week instead

I feel your pain. Happened to me my 2nd season in TD too.
That was my second brush with bankruptcy, so I just decided to tear down and start over. Sold all my facilities and replaced every player with an 18 and under youth.

Why hold on to that 82K kicker then? Kind of surprised you don't do a mass sell off then. Your starters could fetch you quite a bit of money to demote with

I could stay another season but I'd bot in the process, my goal is drop down with my big boys and then come back stronger, much much stronger

Why not ditch the kicker though? I have never paid a kicker anything close to 82K per week. My current kicker is at 20K and that is by far the highest I have ever paid. That is only because I ran out of skills to train and had to bump up one more skill level. He's made 40 yd field goals, has a good kick off and punt record, so maybe you can save some money by ditching him in favor of a 10-12 skilled kicker

I don't think I'm as low on money as you think I am, plus I'm still in the cup. I got him because my now backup kicker single handedly lost me almost 2 games earlier in the season. Plus I wouldn't get anything for him.

You said you were basically out of money and actively working to demote. I have no thoughts on how much money you have beyond your own comment. If money really is an issue and you want to demote, then holding on to the 28 year olds and older doesn't make much sense. The 82K kicker doesn't make sense. The 30 year old 80K safety doesn't make sense. Also, kickers don't lose games for you. If you are making or missing field goals, it means your offense isn't scoring enough TDs. My team rarely takes field goals. Anyway, just was offering some advice. Good luck with it

Im at around 7.5 but have plenty of home games coming up, my idea is go to d2 for a season make some money going undefeated and come back with what I believe is going to be the best defense gi has ever seen.

The only problem with demoting is you aren't guaranteed to win and promote back the next season. Your Fs is 30 already, so he will be on the decline starting next season. If you can make it back in one season, then holding on with the 28 years olds makes sense. Good luck with it

If you take your starting FS (who you will be selling anyway at the end of the season) and your starting K, that amounts to 6 more weeks at approximately $160,000. This equates to almost 1 million bucks. Since you proclaim to want to demote anyway, why would it matter to keep those two expensive and unnecessary players that will burn an additional million bucks from your coffers? It's your boat, but financially, that doesn't make much sense. If you want to stay up in TD, then that also wouldn't make sense, as that million bucks is well over 1/2 weeks salary for your whole team. I am looking forward to seeing the best defense ever. I'd have to say that the T-breds at their height had one of the best I have ever seen

I have managed my club to run a profit every season to this point so I have options. I can carry additional wages and lose some money and will be fine or I can continue to manage a profit each season. I'm currently sitting with 53 million in my account.
