I could be in trouble now. My next 4 games has 3 away and 1 home vs the Weasels. Need to get what I can to stay out of trouble.

Also 4 away wins today is weird.

I decided to go back to rushing today, and was rewarded with a 21 touchdown thriller: 63-84. I still don't understand why our home form isn't as good as our away form.

I noticed...

The division is still very open after 8 games. Five or six teaams still vry much in the running.

Running looks like the way to go - my perfect wide receiver and quarterback partnership looked a little bit redundant today.

Would be great if the next game engine update helped out the defences a little.

One of those things missing from my life lately has been decent home form, but two interceptions and some long-range run-ins from Austin Djerrkura made it easy viewing for Weasels home support today. We had been considering a move from the Weasels Den to Toad Hall, but protests from Weasels fans have been too vocal to allow such a thing.

The win put us back at number one thanks to our points difference, although there are seven teams still within two games of the top, so it's much too early to make any grandiose statements.

With three title winners in hot pursuit, and teams like Fionia and Bigfoot in the mix as well, the frontrunners will be changing a few times yet. Also Traujin's inexplicable position at the foot of the table is likely to turn into a late charge (they are simply too good to go down), and this might make for some tasty relegation squeaky bum time.

Happy days.

Can't complain about our result today. The Swans were the better team and deserved their win. My defense has been good this year but my offense has been poor and today was proof of that. They'll need to improve if I want to be challenging for the title come the end of the season.

It's still very tight in the league. No dominant team. Every team has the potential to beat each other. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Looking at it I have had several top teams at home and fellow relegation battlers away in the first half. So the second half should give me more possible wins.

Another issue has been a few close games not going my way like they were last season. Finally my offense is just old. I really did not predict the drop off in form from aging players. I rose to the top division with a group all about the same age which helped then and hurts me now. I don't think my team is as strong as you thought at the start of the season and it has been a harsh lesson in some ways.

Certainly we will keep battling and to try and learn the lessons for future runs.

Playing in the top division really does open your eyes. When I first got promoted to the top division I thought I knew how to play the game but after getting relegated that season I soon realized I didn't know as much as I thought I did. So I learned my lessons, regrouped and promoted again with a new plan. This time it's working a lot better for me.

If the end of last season and the start of this season were combined into a full season, you'd have won another league title. Makes you wonder how many any other teams would have won titles if their form had timed itself right.

Never gets any easier. Can't believe that Traujins are where they are, could just as easily be at the top end with a little luck.
