Big sale! A lot of quality in that team (particularly with player ages considered), incredible to think they've been only recently been able to break into A&S Europe Top Div only to (just) get relegated. Testament to that region's strength I guess.

I personally smashed my transfer record by nearly double for the new #3 biggest transfer in the Oceania region. Looking at the top transfers there though, there are a lot of new names that weren't there since last checking that list. That said, the #1 spot is still held by such an old transfer (251 weeks... 5 years almost), it's pretty incredible.

One thing that was a bit crazy though, I saw a few very 'fresh' div Vish teams (not including new teams coached by returning veterans) bidding into at least the couple hundred thousand dollar range for certain players. I wanted to send out PMs, but was too busy bidding and paying extra as a result

It does show how strong the region is. Not saying that others aren't, but you wouldn't expect a team with that build to struggle let alone get relegated. You have to splash the cash now and again to compete, but the prices got too hot for me today.

I was one counter bid away from breaking that $7m record, but the other team gave up (thankfully)

Fairly strong region. So with some of these players having uneven training. It shows why some win and some loss in the ASE TD.

Yeah, there were a few oddities in some of the otherwise good looking builds (including the two I bought), but the saving grace is they were well aged with many seasons ahead to change that.

ASE and CE are a thing to behold in terms of brutality, especially at the Top Division level. When you have the almighty Grizzlys or the equally formidable Chivasso Heavy Metal that are fighting to avoid relegation, as it recently happened, you know that you are in some especially tough environment.

Numbers don't lie. There are 37 teams with a payroll of $ 1M or more in CE. And 34 in the ASE. Some of those payrolls might be inflated by poorly trained players, one skill wonders and whatever, but at the end of the day there is still a lot of quality to account for.

The NA region only features 16 teams with a $ 1M payroll, but two of those (the usual suspects) are Grade A juggernauts.

The other regions aren't in the same ballpark, with the notable exception of Oceania where you have a lot of eliteness packed into a very small container.

As for the firesale of today, that Danish MLB that went for a king's ransom and a half almost made me cry. It truly looked like somebody had given an authentic Picasso painting to my 5 year old son, so that the little guy could use it for one of his crayon sessions. That monster of a player could have easily become one of the best ever with a more traditional and less imaginative approach in terms of training. Now somebody will have to spend a substantial amount of time in order to fix said creativity, while paying a hefty salary in the process. Not funny if you ask me.

NTU Renegades, from the ASE Top Division. Not a memorable firesale though. Like 35M.

At a first glance, there was nothing that could improve your squad. Unless you are turned on by MLBs with remarkable Blocking of course.

Some decent prospects, a very good SF and Seb Abrahams (one of the top transfers of all time when he was much younger). As it inevitably happens with these firesales, however, everybody was grossly overpaid and so I wouldn't call it a missed opportunity if I were you.

Thanks for the update, I am looking for a few particular fill in needs. I don't fair well in grossly overpaid firesales or any overpaid firesales for that matter. My pockets aren't deep enough. Although I did drop a bit over 2 million on a very nice future QB this season. That was a team reward for qualifying for the aflc again
