The madness of the transfer market

I actually played against a solo SS/C recently here. Interestingly, he's listed as making at least one tackle twice (as in, he's on the defensive stats list as two different entries). I think that's because of his secondary job moonlighting as a Gunner, so perhaps he's listed as two separate entities if he notches stats in either role (which is handy, so we know he's done work as both a safety and a special teamer). I also definitely did not specifically target the middle that game. With a very brief further investigation, I didn't see any other games where he was both and also got listed twice (if at all), so I'm not sure if that's because he's not racking up stats in both positions in other games, or whether this was stats being weird (again).

Another potentially interesting game also involving the Midgets was this one. You'll note the SS/C in this game is one Mr Bobak, who also moonlights as the team's kicker AND punter. He's listed as having a tackle, which either means he did some work somewhere as an SS/C or it's the elusive k/p tackle we've all never seen. Stats say there were precisely 0 runs against the defence (and although they can be wonky, I didn't go through to check), and if he's doing kickoffs/punts, it's unlikely he's also making tackles on the special teams as a SS at the same time. So that tackle must have been him as a K/P, or on a pass play as an SS, or against a turnover fumble after a KR (where he was on fumbling return team). Two of those things as far as I know doesn't happen, so it could be the other one.

Anyway, I don't really care enough to investigate further

somebody just go through abcats games and see when he gives up a long td if his ss/c missed a tackle

Done that some time ago.
It never happends - always his LBM missing the second tackle.
(at least what I have seen)

He made three tackles as a G on returns of 13, 13 and 15 yards; one tackle as a S on a kick return of 23 yards. I think it's why he appear twice on the stats.

He made a tackle on a kickoff return. Even if he kicked off, the game doesn't care; since he was playing as a S, he took part in the lotteries for a tackle on kick returns and he won once

does anyone else see players on the transfer market that make you question why you are putting so much effort into training i keep seeing them on the market from good teams too and im sitting there like "why do i even try, i could be doing so much more productive... but i sit here and look at these dudes train at the slowest rate in the world."

It's the quietest I have ever seen on the transfer market. Only 6 pages of players. Everyone must be taking it easy over the holidays.

Big sale! A lot of quality in that team (particularly with player ages considered), incredible to think they've been only recently been able to break into A&S Europe Top Div only to (just) get relegated. Testament to that region's strength I guess.

I personally smashed my transfer record by nearly double for the new #3 biggest transfer in the Oceania region. Looking at the top transfers there though, there are a lot of new names that weren't there since last checking that list. That said, the #1 spot is still held by such an old transfer (251 weeks... 5 years almost), it's pretty incredible.

One thing that was a bit crazy though, I saw a few very 'fresh' div Vish teams (not including new teams coached by returning veterans) bidding into at least the couple hundred thousand dollar range for certain players. I wanted to send out PMs, but was too busy bidding and paying extra as a result
